In the story of Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting, Kirishima Tooru is the protagonist. WHO DO YOU NANNY? Kirishima Tooru is the Sakuragi crime family’s, right-hand man. His job provides him with a perfect excuse to satisfy his aggressive tendencies, earning him the moniker “the Demon of Sakuragi.” His evil nature seems unable to be stopped. However, one day, the employer gives him a brand-new task: watching his kid! This is the moving (or perhaps terrifying?) story of a young girl and her yakuza caregiver.

Toru Kirishima, a 28-year-old Senior officer for the Sakuragi Yakuza, is known as Sakuragi’s Demon due to his brutality.
When their business meeting degenerates into a brawl, Kazuhiko Sakuragi, Kirishima’s employer, decides to teach him some adulthood skills by making him the guardian of his seven-year-old daughter, Yaeka. Without warning, Kirishima lashes out at Kei Sugihara, his patient underling, because there is no history of kids in his family. The men from the crowd pursue them as they walk Yaeka to school, but Kirishima beats them without her knowledge. Every time her aunt Kanami comes, Yaeka seems to grow more gloomy. Concerned, Kirishima looks around her room and finds a letter inviting parents to come to visit the school. She understands that Yaeka has no relatives to invite because Kanami is employed and Kazuhiko is prohibited from being seen in public.
After their initial interaction, Kanami encourages Kirishima to attend the school in her absence as her guardian, boosting her spirits and allowing her to communicate with him on a daily basis. Yaeka, on the other hand, is undecided whether or not to give Kazuhiko a sketch she made of their family crest after KIRISHIMA explains to her that he was hesitant to attend school but glad he did. On receiving the picture, Kazuhiko is ecstatic and draws Kirishima and Yaeka closer. When he was a little boy, Kazuhiko saw his mother in the hospital while she was ill. Kirishima and Sugihara are missing their mothers. Although two impostors claiming to be Kirishima and Sugihara have been causing problems at the hospital, Kazuhiko is determined to go there anyhow. According to Kirshima, another Yakuza family employed the forgers.
Sugihara and Kirishima go to a fireworks display in order to win Yaeka a toy rabbit, so she invites them both along. After giving them a little beating out of worry for Yaeka, Kirishima discovers the goons. When Kirishima gets home, he finds that Yaeka has fallen asleep despite her best efforts to stay awake. When asked about his mother by Yaeka, Kirishima is startled. Although their mother had been asleep for years, Kazuhiko informed the press that he stopped bringing Yae to visit him because she would cry every time.
Kirishima is able to persuade Yaeka that Miyuki loves her so much that she wouldn’t want to go to heaven. Miyuki begs Kirishima to look after both Yaeka and Kazuhiko while she is in her coma, so he agrees to visit them. Despite Kirishima’s certainty that Kazuhiko would not be satisfied, Yaeka discovers that he is known as Sakuragi’s Demon and refuses to accept it because she believes he is too gorgeous and wishes to be more like him. Despite this, despite his confidence in her mother.
At the hospital, a tearful Yaeka expresses her hope that Miyuki will soon wake up and offers her condolences. She also gives her a picture of everyone so she won’t be lonely. When they go out to buy supper, Kazuhiko is extremely sorry to Miyuki for being such a terrible father without Yaeka or Kirishima. Kirishima encounters Toichiro Aoi, a former yakuza member who left the organization after having children, at the hospital shop. Koki, Toichiro’s 6-year-old son, begins to have feelings for Yaeka. After Yaeka assures him that Kazuhiko isn’t angry about his leaving, Toichiro makes a heartfelt promise to come back after some time has passed.
Kanami thinks it’s funny because she understands that Kirishima was taught by Toichiro and that, while looking after Yaeka, he inadvertently adopted his style of parenting. When they reach their village, they find a runaway girl named Hanada Ayumu and a stray cat. So that Ayumu can return home, Yaeka decides to look after the cat and gives it the name Ohagi. When Ohagi orders two Yakuza to smash a priceless antique, trouble ensues. When Yaeka and Ohagi urge him to, Kazuhiko gives in. He believes that since Miyuki would always intervene when he was angry with Kirishima, Yaeka looks like her. Because he believes that he shouldn’t be forced into the role of a father, a repulsive individual who has been snooping on Kirishima takes action.
